IS THIS A JOURNEY THROUGH THE MIND OF A MADMAN?

For good translation (being what it is, and since it’s what I do for a living)!…

Try to consider this concept in relation to the topic of translation and how to do it properly: I accept that sometimes a piece of writing can leave you confused, but the particulars of “confused” can vary. In the grand scheme of things, not everything is black and white and waiting to be some way categorised in terms of whatever it may be supposed to represent (whether genuinely or falsely). I mean, there are some things you have to admit you just couldn’t make up – what if I asked you to reference anything in your life you have done, or made up / conceived of, that you genuinely believe like just no-one could make up?

Or, without wishing to mock / ridicule, what about the hypothetical question: what if there were something that you might as well be publicly admitting you keep hidden from yourself (never mind other people)?

Anyway, someone on Thought Catalog, her name Chrissy Stockton, said she was pretty confident that whoever made this http://973-eht-namuh-973.com/coloured%20site/start/i_thought/1.htm was insane; a statement I don’t mind admitting I am convinced by (not least because she originally found it on the deep web, or so she claimed). There seems to be no way to guess what values or beliefs this “thing” arose from, if indeed they actually arose from any values or beliefs worth the name. But what is it, exactly, if it is not just a product of someone seeking unconditional acceptance and sanctuary, nay respect and credibility, in a made-up world even though they just would not be prepared to define it even unto themselves? A world that they have allowed themselves to be lost in at the expense of their better judgement of reality?

By all means have a go at translating this thing, but I’m pretty confident it won’t “reveal” anything.
