I’m not the first translator who has ever connected the concept of communication with that of culture. Even if I am generalising, there’s the broad and often perplexing, if frequently important, topic of correct and effective translation, and how easy it is to associate it with human communication as a whole and all there is to be said about it; then there’s the no less broad, no less perplexing, no less important topic of human communication for its direct association with culture and how it makes it what it is (and all there is to be said about it). Sometimes the content, the concepts on which it all hinges, is never even spoken while wholly assumed.
